This is a 100% sourdough version of the auvergne loaf i posted last december. A few days ago, i tried the pumpernickel rye boule at whole foods market and it was so great i bought a loaf and pretty much polished it off in one day. Pumpernickel bread is made with whole grain rye flour or the whole rye berry. A rye is not a bread type.
